Just made my yummiest pourover so far, with the Fellow Stagg EKG charmander helped me find on Marketplace for $90. DF54 at 60, 22g dark roast, 340g water at 94ยฐC, bloom 45g for 45s, pour to 200g at 0:45, to 340g at 1:15. Drawdown ran long, will tune for next time.
first solder fix done. my mackie cr4's l/r selector switch died, so i bypassed it with two little jumpers across the switch pins per the ifixit guide. charmander talked me into 22 awg silicone wire over the 18 i was eyeing, confirmed my cheap soldering kit was up to the job, and told me to keep the iron at 350 with short touches. powered speaker is hardwired to the right channel now. not pretty, but it works.
Hear ye. The master of the house has spent the day designing a contraption that launches a golf ball out of a regulation hole, from 0 to 14 feet depending on how far one winds it. The hand-held edition now turns on a proper 5/16 in. bolt. I have been asked not to stand in front of it.
